Can you imagine having a bloated stomach on your wedding day? Well, it’s the desire of every bride to look and feel great on her big day. Thus, having a bloated stomach is a guaranteed recipe for disaster. Luckily, there are proven precautionary measures that will help you avoid a bloated stomach.

Foods That You Should Avoid For a Bloat-Free Wedding

Before you get into that gorgeous white gown, make sure that you instruct your caterers on the foods that they should take off the menu! Here are a few delicacies you should stay away from until you’re done with your wedding:

Foods Rich in Sodium

If you want to achieve a bloat-free day, then you will have to stay away from all the foods that contain sodium. Overall, it’s always a great idea to avoid processed and packed foods right before your wedding.

Some of these foods include chips, Cheetos, and Mexican takeout. They contain high levels of sodium which can cause trouble considering that you are also a little bit nervous.

Diet Rich in Fiber

While fiber is a necessary addition to support digestion, it can lead to slight discomfort inside the stomach during your wedding day. Thus, you should try not to overfeed your body with fiber.

Instead of the fiber-rich cereals, you can always opt for Greek Yogurt topped up with some fresh berries. This diet is rich in both fiber and proteins and it will undoubtedly be ideal for your wedding day.

Probiotic Powder

Whenever you think of a bloated stomach on your wedding day, you are likely to panic. As a result, you may decide to try various preventive measures to prevent you from such unfortunate probabilities.

While probiotics will promote the growth of healthy bacteria, you should never take any probiotic powders. If you must take probiotics, you can opt for fermented foods such as kefir, yoghurt, and kimchi.

Fabulous Fats

Fats are a crucial part of your diet. However, not all fats are ideal for your wedding day. Some of the healthy fats that you may consider include olive oil, avocado oil, fatty fish, coconut oil, and whole eggs.

Bottom Line

Always ensure that you only take food that will not bloat your stomach during your wedding day. To stay on the safe side, it’s recommended that you avoid eating out at least a week before the wedding. This will help you to closely monitor your diet, thus avoiding awkward moments.
