Singer Ed Sheeran, 28, and Cherry Seaborn, 27, met when they were attending primary school in the eastern part of England. They dated through high school. Then, after a period of separation, due to work, they announced their engagement in December 2018.
The singer, with numerous number-one singles, found himself falling in love while he was in high school. Then he started his singing career. During the same time, Cherry made her way to America, where she studied and played professional field hockey. They parted ways. Their love brought them back together in 2015 when they started dating.
Sheeran, being a quiet, private man, likes to keep his private life far away from the media. He recently revealed that the pair secretly married last December. The couple wanted a small wedding, and they invited just 40 family members and friends. They just wanted to be man and wife, but they didn’t want to make a big fuss out of it. It is believed that Ed and Cherry married at her family church, St. Andrew’s, in Wingfield, UK. After the wedding ceremony, they held their reception at the local village pub next door.
The couple held a large festival-themed party to celebrate their union last September. Some of the guests included Sir Elton John, Jennifer Aniston, and Princess Eugenie. The guest list was reportedly filled with A-list friends. The location is where the Latitude festival was held. There was a big, red circus tent, which is said to hold a large group of people. The party was apparently packed with singing and dancing. The venue is located deep in the wood. Guests traveled down a dirt track. There was also a security checkpoint where they w needed to stop. There was also a company of guard dogs and hordes of security guards.
The two kept the exact date of their wedding close to their hearts. They each had engagement bands, but they were apparently meant to fool people. Ed showed his engagement ring last August. People assumed he had already married. During that time, he was asked by a US TV show when he planned to marry Cherry. Ed announced their engagement last January, on Instagram by writing, “Got myself a fiance.” Actually, by this time, the couple had already married.
The couple recently went on a date night. They went to a football game held at Portman Road Stadium. Together they loudly supported their beloved Ipswich Town. They looked blissful as they were dressed in the colors of their team as they sat with their friends. Their club played the Wycombe Wanderers. The final score was 0-0.
Ed recently completed a worldwide tour. He played 250 shows over two years. He then announced that he didn’t plan another tour for 18 months as he would be taking a break. It looks like he will be spending some dedicated time with his new wife.
