7 Everlasting fashion tips from Jackie Kennedy

Jackie Kennedy was one of the most famous First ladies in American history. Her grace and intelligence captured the heart of the public, but one cannot forget her sense of style. She has totally changed the fashion scene in the 60s. Today we’ll tell you about the 7 Everlasting fashion tips from Jackie Kennedy. So let’s get started

  1. Experiment with scarfs

One of the accessories that were most associated with the former first lady of America is the printed silk scarf. Jackie was often seen wearing a scarf over her hair, especially while outdoor activities and on vacation. For a classy evergreen look, drape a scarf across your shoulders and tie it in front of your chest or tie it around your neck

  1. A sheath or shift dress always looks good

Jackie was frequently seen in two styles of dresses: the sheath and the shift. Each is timeless and works well with all the body types. A sheath dress mostly has a detailed waistline, whereas a shift dress falls straight down from the shoulders; these both dresses work with most of the body types. We saw the former first lady wearing one of these dresses with an interesting neckline, and she usually paired them with strands of pearls. You can add a matching pair of sandals or pumps for a look that can go from a drink on the beach to the office in no time.

  1. Never go out of the house without your sunglasses

To get a full-on Jackie Kennedy summering look, always keep a pair of dark sunglasses. Jackie was mostly seen wearing her rounded and oversized sunglasses, mostly in black color.

  1. Go for a monochrome look

During her first years as the first lady of America, we saw her wearing an always classy, easy to assemble matching suit. While she was noticed in pastel colors, be warned that the lighter colors could be harder to pull off. For most of us who don’t live in the White House, go for a suit in a darker color, i.e., black or navy.

  1. Try a breezy summer style

Jackie Kennedy’s summer style is something that anyone can easily incorporate. Jackie loved wearing sleeveless button-ups in bold florals, ginghams, pastels, stark whites, and striped prints. We captured her mostly in pastel t-shirts and white pants, well things can’t get any easier than this.

  1. Go black and whiteGetting late for work and need a quick outfit? Take a tip from Jackie’s fashion book and try black and white. She was photographed in white pants paired with a black T-shirt. She was also seen matching her dress belt with the same color shirt or jacket.
  2. Keep your hair high

The most famous 60s bouffant hairstyle owes much of its popularity to Jackie Kennedy. To give this evergreen 60s bouffant hairstyle a little bit modern look, blow-dry and set them in Velcro rollers for about 40 minutes. Now spray a light-hold hairspray and remove the rollers. Then flip your hair upside down, spray again, and flip it back.
